My beautiful girl Ansgar crossed the Bridge on Monday, to find her human Carl & be with him.
Carl died on 7/2/20, & Ansgar lost the fire in her eyes soon after, declining steadily. She, who had saved me, could not be saved herself, so she was given her wings. Godspeed, Ansgar.

Thank you for your kind words & consideration.
Yes, I still have Ansgar’s sister Lil’Bit. She seems unaffected. They were both 12&1/2 years old.
We also lost Carl’s son this past weekend.
I wish this year was over. It’s been horrible.

I am so sorry for your losses...It's true our "Best Friends" (dogs) are only here for a short time but they certainly help lighten our lives in many ways...With all the stuff puppies go thru they certainly turn out good...but then they leave us so early (Not thru their choice but because their lives are full and it's their time)
I've lost many dogs in my life time and I refuse to think of the negatives...I choose to concentrate on the positive good times...The same goes for the loss of my only sister this past year...I think of the good times and never dwell on the negatives...
They call dogs "man's best friends" for a good reason...I wish you well...

Aw, Jackie, I'm so sorry...for your loss of Carl and Ansgar and now Carl's son as well. That's a lot for one person to handle, so I'm glad you've still got Lil' Bit with you to share your sadness and make demands of you. I don't think I've come across anyone who's not glad to see 2020 heading towards the door already...only a few more months' and we'll be rid of it, and hopefully a better year ahead.

Good to hear from you on here, albeit with such sad news to share. Take care of yourself, and may 2021 bring you some joy!
