I am in the Chicago area and am stuck at home due to an elderly parent.
What is everyone doing?
There is no training here, so what is everyone doing to keep their dogs occupied?
The weather isn’t cooperating either. 2 days of rain, and a muddy yard.
Again.... stay safe everyone!

Here is Wisconsin at home recovering from surgery. Still training but on my own during
our walks. Train in the house during crappy days. Dog puzzles, hiding ball in house may start on nosework.
Have to learn to improvise. Luckily my boy doesn’t care where we train as long as we are doing it together.

I, too have extremely frail elderly family members at home, so I can't volunteer skills. I'm breaking the dog's dental treats so I can put off getting more. I'm also limiting my interactions with the dog and cat and keeping them away from everyone else because of the COVID19 veterinary guidelines.
Timing is everything. The dog had diarrhea today and tomorrow is shot day. I can't go inside the clinic. When I get there, they'll get telephonic credit card payment from me and then have me hand her over outside. They'll bring her back to me. I'm going to use a washable leash and collar and wash them in the garage when we get home. If it's warm enough when we get home, the dog'll get a bath or sprayed off outside, or if it's cold, a bath inside. I would put it off, but the dog license expires tomorrow and the city says there's no delays/adjustments on licenses and taxes :-( Fortunately, the vet will fax a copy of the rabies certificate to the license bureau, so the lifetime license won't get canceled.
The dog and cat took seeing me in a mask in stride.

Natures Dragon, do some youtubes and a book or 2 on tracking. it is certainly something you can get started on with very little experience.
an open area, a few flags https://www.lowes.com/pd/Presco-100-Pack-18-in-Orange-PVC-Marking-Flag/50066715 (or any type marker) and some bait and you're on the way.

Common sense rules :-)
The vet left a message (that I missed somehow) that the dog's appointment was canceled since they were only doing emergency surgeries. Found out when I got there and called from the paring lot.
Called the license bureau, and lo and behold, they're not canceling the lifetime licenses right now because pretty much all the vets are doing the same thing, so shots aren't readily available.
God's blessings and protection to all... stay well...
