By the way, the chances of that dog outing on ‘Czech’ command by someone other than the handler or trainer are not even a consideration.

is that detachment don't have own kennel, that they need to board dog in vet facility for time of handler absence?
sure, dog likely won't obey the command from stranger, regardless of language been used. but article say eventually another employee
was able to pull dog off victim. feel sorry for this lady. she shouldn't got into contact with dog after that dog earlier already showed her
unacceptance.

I am not sure what that agency has as far as accommodations, if any, for their dogs. I would get called to that area to track criminals, but never went to their facility. Didn’t even no where it was.

My unit had approximately 18-20 secure indoor/outdoor runs. Many of the neighboring jurisdictions would bring their dogs to our location when they needed watched for vacations or school. A few came so often they had their own designated runs, including name tags on the gate. Still, we were careful around the dogs, with a few being fed and watered through a special port. I could walk some of them out to the training fields to exercise, but those were dogs that I had handled or trained recently. I say ‘recently’ because their allegiance changes rather quickly.

Some of the dogs were ‘nasty’ as soon as they were put in the runs. Some showed no signs of aggression, while others waited a few days until they were comfortable, secure within, and became territorial. That may explain what happened with this dog.
