HI jim, it is to let exhibitors see the superb venue, it is a lovely park with lots of parking
for tents, caravans, and hopefully for the 2 day show.
Also in this economic age it is cheaper than Strathclyde Park.
Please come and see for yourself.
If you want any more info please call either Kay, Ronnie or myself.
Hope this clarifies things for you.
Take care, Irene Foster

To Irene, Kay or Ronnie,

1.  Can you confirm that Schedules are being POSTED out to all the Scottish Exhibitors & Club Members who entered your 2 Shows last year????

Is it the Club's intention to NOT POST OUT to Exhibitors to save money?  If this is the case then the Club may find the entries down again this year due to this decision.

2.  Is the Club expecting all last years Exhibitors to telephone for Schedules - which is an added cost to the Exhibitors again.  Why phone for a Schedule that will HAVE TO BE POSTED ANYWAY????????  Only those that did not enter last year should have to phone.

3.  The change of Venue may be costing the Club less money BUT it is going to cost the EXHIBITORS MORE EXPENSE and the reason for that is that ALL, bar the exhibitors on the West Coast, are having to add 2 HOURS OVERALL to their travelling day to get to this Venue PLUS THE ADDED INCREASING FUEL COSTS on top of that.

Exhibitors from Inverness/Aberdeen/East Coast and even Fife will add both time and money to their already tight budgets to get to an Open Show!!!!!!

Some may seriously think twice about entering due to the financial cost.  The Club's decision to change the Venue for an Open Show may prohibit the Exhibitors from Inverness/Aberdeen/East Coast and even Fife attending in the current financial climate.

4.  Last year at the 1st Open Show the Highland exhibitors DID NOT receive any Schedules therefore they boycotted the Champ Show - does the Club wish to continue down this road????

5.  IN THE PRESENT FINANCIAL CLIMATE ALL CLUBS SHOULD BE DOING THEIR UTMOST TO ENCOURAGE EXHIBITORS TO ENTER AND ATTEND THEIR SHOWS - NOT MAKE IT MORE DIFFICULT FOR THEM.

Keith and I have always supported the Scottish shows. Unfortunitly due to the change of venue we will not be able to attend this show. This venue would add more than an extra hour either way to our traveling time and with raising fuel cost's it is outwith our budget for an open show. Pity as we have five youngster that we had hoped to show.

To Irene Ronnie or Kay

This was the reason for my question to move it so far away for an open show just seems to silly for words, it will cost nearly every exhibitor around £20 to £25 more for petrol and over all another 2 hours travelling i can see most exhibitors from newcastle/edin/fife/dundee/aberdeen/inverness etc will give this show a miss, not a good idea to change the venue especially for an open show i dont know who's idea it was but it certainly had nothing to do with the membership.
Yes it may be cheaper for the club but if you hardly get any entries then its not really cheaper is it
