Long time since I was here. I moved from NY to Fl and life has been crazy busy, redoing the house. Sooooo...By this time, I am sure many more have done the DNA test for DM. I would be curious to know if you have had clears or carriers who have developed DM or were found to have DM upon necropsy, or if 2 clear parents have produced at risk puppies... I am still trying to keep track of this on The German Shepherd Dog Breed Betterment Registry (www.gsdbbr.org) which has also received an update to allow for availability of chilled semen and DNA test results.

Casey James is almost 9 years old, now! He loves living in Florida, and swims for about 5 hours a day! LOL! He found a 20 pound bouy on our beach, and he drags it in and out of the pool all day long! He is still a piece of work ;)

THANK YOU mrdarcy :) Oh the trials and tribulations of moving and getting older. I am still heavy into rescue of our amazing breed. I have been trying to get the NYACC in Manhattan to quit labeling every GSD that comes into their shelter, dangerous. It NEVER fails :( I even offered to supply a network of certified volunteer gsd behavorists, at no charge to shelter, to go evaluate the GSDS in their shelter network, but the mofos turned down my offer:( Thankfully I teamed up with a rescue friend from NY I worked with when I lived in NY, that will pull all of these GSDS. Of course, as soon as they are out of the shelter, the dogs are fine! The evaluators there just have no clue about GSD behavior :(

Hope my old friends here are well! Xoxoxo
