is he from show lines? I like how he keeps his ground.

Yes he is a showline GSD with high drives and unbelievable good grips. We started training 7 weeks ago (I’m just his trainer) and he’s doing very very good. We’ll do the BH certification next Sunday.

here is another site for his pedigree simulation https://www.working-dog.com/dogs-details/6473458/Kilo-vom-Globalhaus

A lot of people don´t realize that a lot of so called "show lines" are able to "work" in case these dogs are trained liked "working lines"... ( Ballack, Ursus - no wonder...).

You’re right. But also a lot doesn’t have the right drive. It’s sad but it is what it is.
I’m glad he is not like the „lazy showline“

We have a young WG showline female who defies all the showline stereotypes. She bites very well, granted it is all play/prey but she just started. So, yes there are showlines there that can work. Time will tell how she progresses but she definitely is no shrinking violet. We keep teasing her owner that there is some WL in her..

When I think about all the GS dogs I have seen the % of dogs fitting the standard doesn't differ that much in case of working / showlines...( not talking about the "specialists" - just talking about "normal" GSDS ).

Just my experience, well aware I am not making friends right now.

I think there is a huge difference. When I look at BSZS and watch the „protection part“..... there was only one who wouldn’t let out and this one had for my the biggest heart. I’ve seen a lot GSD in the past 18 years of dogsport and I think if you haven’t the right team or the right trainer you’ll never be successful, no matter in which case (show or sport).

Hey you don’t need to make friends, you have your own opinion and people have to accept this. :-)
