You will better look to individual quality from both dogs line breeding is NOT only  the magic word for some quality if the parents from the litter  and other dogs in that pedigree is NOT so good.

You can also check with Koos at van Tiekerhook. He had Pike for awhile and used him extensively. He'd for sure be able to help you. Send him an email: koos@tiekerhook.com

Yes, Blackmalinois , I know all the pros and cons of linebreeding vs out crosses, I’ve been breeding GSDs for 34 years :-) I am specifically asking regarding this bloodline as I don’t know anyone personally who has linebred on these dogs...and trying to decide if it is worth a try or not.
Thanks Dugan! I will email him for sure.

It looks like Hanrahaus (or the canine concepts) is doing a 2-3 line breeding on Nox Del Lup Nero, between Drago and a female named Beatrix for their "V" litter. I'm assuming the pups aren't on the ground yet, but I bet Gary could probably tell you why he chose to line breed on Nox, or you could keep an eye on that litter as well.

The key is IMO the female Alexia del lupa Nero but as a breeder you will know this , .

A little info on Alexia she was linebred 4-4 on a male named Urs he was imported to a kennel i trained for many years ago he had excellent drives and very smart, produced very well with quality females he was eger to please and not a hard dog and that seems to be a common thread in this line-
dogs great drives but sometimes lack nerves, so it may be lacking in some cases, i currently have a grand daughter out of Pike and she has a close line breeding on this bloodline her nerves and drives could be better, she has no dog on dog aggression which i really like and ive seen this more than once out of Pike or Drago. Pike has produced very well overall the best i can tell, my best advice is use a harder male with super strong nerves but still has nice strong drives, im not sure if Nick is alive or still being used as a Stud in the midwest anymore. That new young stud that Staatsmacht has could perhaps be a good choice i saw the dog once he seems to have a very serios side to him meaning i have no doubt he would bite for real and reported pups are very smart out of him.

like bundishep says, wouldnot worry on drives, but would worry on nerves, but all depends on actual two dogs that will be producing the pups.
