Yes, German spam....

This is a difficult topic - soldiers go back home after a couple of months, but the dogs have to stay.
I understand it costs a lot of time and money to train F.E. a good bomb detection dog, and I wouldn´t want this ( maybe still young ) dog to become a "veteran" only because the current handler goes home.
Think about the lifes this dog may be able to safe...

On the other hand I don´t like the idea of a new handler every couple of months - the handler gets attached, the dog, too. Not good for both of them.

Maybe the army should rethink the whole "dog" program - professionell, specialized dog/handler teams, staying together, no "time limited" soldiers....

Just a thought
