An imageI'm deaf anyway. Just some Friday night fun painting with my daughter. She's still working on her sunflower.

Ironically, Mark "Chopper " Read got married while in prison. Weren't you making fun of American women in the Charles Manson thread? Tsk tsk. I'm an artist and above your conformist, mainstream ways. I'm gonna go smoke a non filtered, home rolled cigarette, now.

Chaz! Please keep your ears attached to your head! I am impressed! Nice job. You have succeeded with creating a painting with a sophisticated composition and refined palette. The shapes, patterns and subject details evoke subtle contemplations with challenges to our expectations, and the suggestion of seeking balance in a bland state of mind, despite a usually comforting place.

I don't know the scale and the application of paint is sometimes tentative, but overall, frame worthy!

The sunflower painting has a one dimensional interest that explores negative space with a confident hand, but isn't as interesting to me, as your own painting.

Thanks, Bee.
I'm good with my hands. 🤗

The funniest part of the night, I sent my mom a picture of my painting and a picture of my daughter still doing her Sunflower.

My mom said, "She looks like a pro, but your picture is too blurry".

I reply, "Are you hammered?".

"No, we just got back from Euchre and I've only had one glass of wine. I can see the sketches on the table, but the picture is too blurry to see them."

It took 20 minutes to get her to realize that she wasn't looking at a picture of sketches on a table, but she was looking at the painting. LMFAO!!!

Bee, remember we talked about our parents going to Florida, etc? My parents are loving it. Sure, my mom misses the kids, grandkids, and her sister, but they are very good down there. My dad is the happiest he's ever been. I called him for his birthday on the 17th and I had an actual conversation with substance. Not the usual, talk about sports, weather, etc. He actually was asking and talking about personal things. And to top it off, I hear he was doing Karaoke two nights ago!!!! If you know my dad, that is huge.

Yes, I remember the Florida flight conversation. It is good to know your folks are enjoying their decision to move. It sounds like they really are making the most of their retirement! They sure sound like a fun couple! Hey, if they are happy, that makes everyone else happy. Now your whole family gets the bonus of going to Florida for visits!
Funny about the blurry sketches! 😝

That abandoned guitar in the corner has such a wistful feel to it, wanting and waiting to be held and strummed to life. It balances perfectly in between the corner of the white walls like a blank canvas, a metaphor for life's potential for domestic happiness. This is suggested by the kitchen table with its signs of daily life activity. It is a life just waiting for its muse to call forth the artist's inspiration, that together, they bring forth songs that we hope will include, their love and joy.
