Hello. I'm looking at this pedigree, but I can't seem to find much information on some of the dogs as far as their character and temperament and if they're producers of producers. I was hoping some of you have first-hand knowledge of the dogs in this pedigree.

Cora vom Langgarten

I know Grim and Tom were nice dogs. I also know that Cora had two litters before being imported into the US of A. How are those puppies doing? They should be adults by now. Would you say Cora is a good dam?

My European friend said that her pedigree is nice, but I would like more than one opinion. Maybe Hans can shed some light on this for me since I know he's had first-hand experience.

dont know Cora but I went to look to Franco on his qualification for BSP as I was possibly interested in breeding him, I did not use him for breeding, but he was a nice sport dog to me, good (ball)drive,
motherline back to magbert out of Orry, you wont find much of magbert and reif in pedigrees of todays dogs, might wonder why

best is to look at Cora herself and who she will be bred to

Dog is externally displaying characteristics derived from Ex v Riedstern which is telling me a lot about this specific dog. ( Reversed mask serious type 1 dog) ) Dog is bred in 5the line over Ingo v Rudingen with influence of Ex. His progeny Vitor v d Ederquelle super aggressive dog with high frustration level ( expressed by chewing and destruction of his dog house. ). This combined with extra high prey drive from Grim linebred 3-4 my pose problem if such aggression will express itself together with such high prey which in this case is very dominant. There are some serious HD consideration specifically in Klara - Quint z daskonu connection where Qint z Daskonu's father Adir had 7 severally dysplastic litter mates. There are many old Czech line dogs which are now obsolete thus they are not virtue. By that I mean that their faults are today eliminated or pushed back in more dogs with the similar pedigree while same positives are preserved.
I would not discard this dog from breeding bt would make sure that I do not linebreed on Klara and I would also not breed this dog to extreme prey dog I would stay in 5th line but in outcross.

She's currently being bred to Dario vom Weinbergblick.

Some would rather have Eros or Ellute in the pedigree and not Vito. They say Vito is well liked because of his look. What are your opinions on that?

I see potentially some serious HD problems. Of course I may be wrong. I am just looking at the pedigrees.

That's disappointing. I really liked this pedigree.

The female is not being bred to a Czech dog so I don't see the problem. Rather than looking at some relative 4 or 5 generations back I would be looking in the first two or maximum 3 generations and those close relatives in the vertical pedigree. If I understood correctly the breeding is between Czech and Belgian bloodlines.

belgian fatherline? HD problems? must look at different pedigrees what posted by OP.

do not believe to people not know and ignorant without checking. go to sv-doxs.net
and make research for weinbergblick D and X litter and offspring. no HD and ED problems.
and look at different paired females with weak HD/ED. D and X litter bring up average,
slight hip improver on not so good mothers. do same for Franko and Cora and offspring.
cora is 2/3 a1 and 100% >= a3 on offspring. see no red flag but make up opinion on your
own with fact not listen people with ignorance peeing on keyboard.

I wouldn't say there are not potential problems with HD in the mating of Cora and Dario ... Plenty of hip issues on both sides of the potential breeding but most of the relatives exhibiting HD are 4,5,6 generations back and many of the dogs come from divergent lines ( herding etc.). I prefer to weight more on gen 1,2,3 and uncles and aunts. Dogs don't have borders or nationalities but with current science HD is poorly understood and even more poorly predicted based on genetics alone. I was not disagreeing with HP and I certainly was not encouraging another Pager bash fest.

I respect Hans's opinion on the Czech dogs since he's had first-hand knowledge of the lines.

Plus, my knowledge on Czech lines isn't very good, so all I have to go on is what others know.

I'll take the opinion of someone respectable and knowledgeable over my own ignorance any day.
