Sounds normal .. too good to be true deals never are .. if you had looked around there are better dogs within a days drive in most parts of the US and Canada. Dog traders make their livelihood from others mistakes.

What was so special about this dog you decided to buy it in the first place? And as mentioned, there are good dogs in the US. Were you planning on breeding this dog?

I am always very sorry to hear that people don't get what they want and/or pay for...I also believe that when dealing with anyone whether it be overseas or even within the same country is to find a breeder or broker that you know and have spent time getting to know before making any kind of deal...I've also found it very important to be sure that you're speaking the same language...I'm meaning to both be knowing what you're talking about...The best example is when someone says a dog has "Ball Drive"...What does GOOD mean...Or what does OK mean...People say and mean different things...
A lot of times people want to save money by Importing on their own...even though they've never done so before...In a lot of cases it's worth using a Broker...They have contacts and know the ropes...

The dog arrived in April, so the time frame for papers isn't outrageous at this point. The dentition issue is something the seller most definitely couldn't have missed, so there's no excuse for that, but the sperm thing could be due to a pre-existing infection, or some other abnormality--make an appointment with a repro vet and see if there's something wrong health-wise, and what you can do to build the dog back up in condition and improve his semen quality.

At this point,,,,after all these years and all the stories. I'm almost thinking it's the buyers fault. How many stories like this need to be posted before there's enough warning to the point it's common knowledge? It's not like you can't find 10 years of the same situation time after time right here.

Sorry, at this point I don't feel sorry anymore. Just another wanna be breeder buying cheap crappy dogs sight unseen just to bring over and fill the pages of puppyfind.com with 500.00 puppies.

I always feel sorry for people who don't get what they pay for and expect...But the truth of the matter is that there are always people who sell goods that will take advantage of people who don't know what they're doing and don't have experience in doing so...
It's so natural to try to save money and not pay the extra for using a Broker...but a good Broker will take care of you and look out for your interest...But once again it's up to you to do your homework and to know and understand the people you're dealing with...
This by no means insures that you will never get taken advantage of but it certainly takes a lot of the uncertainty out of it...
When buying a dog...take your time and don't get in a rush...If you miss the opportunity to purchase this dog/puppy there will be others...

P.S. If you ever feel queasy about a deal...Listen to your "inner-self" and follow those feelings...

To avoid any of this type cheap-below the belt shots; see any dog prior to purchase..........................would have eliminated and cancelled this purchase..................

In case you paid for a "pet" there is not much you can do besides insisting on the pedigrees, but in case you paid for a "stud dog" missing teeth are a no-go ( infertility may be contemporary, too soon to tell, and the dog was too young when sold to make the seller responsible for that ).

Any "FCI show judge" knows better, and I guess the seller won´t be interested to be mentioned in an international case of fraud...

Did ou pay for a "pet" or "stud dog" / "show quality" ?

Whatever you wanted to do with this dog, don´t breed him, missing teeth are a genetically fault. I hope you like him ...
