What does the term "true son" or "true daughter" mean? YES, I AM NEW HERE!!

I could imagin that a true son or daughter would be one that is just like its parents...........

The only times I have seen the term used, is when there is knowledge or rumors of papers being shuffled regarding said Sire or Dam. (most always the Sire).
By stating "True", one is insinuating that there may be canines papered out of a said Sire, when in fact they are not, and the "True" Son or Daughter is out of the Sire without question.
Also, overstating the fact, if it seems too good to be true.
