I got my kennel name registered at the SV last week and now I'm already all over the internet again looking for good males ;)
My girl is Zany Jipo-Me, she's 14 months now, she'll get her x-rays taken next month and her DM test will be taken next week on Wednesday.
Sp here's a link to her pedigree:
http://www.working-dog.eu/dogs-details/2817213/Zany-Jipo-Me
(please ignore the picture lol I'm absolutely no pro at stacking a dog)
She has an inbreeding of 4-4 on Dargo Ha Ja Da. Would you recommend to do a linebreeding on Dargo again with a litter from her? I can only use males who are available for breeding in the SV so it makes hard to use any czech dogs for her.
Right now I know of five dogs who are available for german breeding: Gringo Bady-Ron, Coudy z udoli upy, Warlock Anrebri, Faro z Meridolu and Tchad Provocativo.
I really like Tchad from his looks and what I've seen on videos (of course I would have to see him personally first before deciding which male to use) but when I would use him I had a line breeding 3-4 on Vito Waldwinkel as Zany is a great-granddaughter from Vito and Tchad a grandson through his father Bosco.
Would you recommend a linebreeding on Vito? I know a few dogs coming directly from Vito and they were all "apesh*t crazy" to put it in a nice way. Good nerves and very social, good temperament but very easy to correct, very soft and they had problems staying calm. They reminded me of IPO bred Mals sometimes.
What I like about Zany is that she's very stable, she has good nerves, she has tons of drive (I once lost the ball during a walk and she searched for it half an hour before coming back - with the ball!), she is very good at tracking from a young age on and she can be worked every single day in A,B,C. She wouldn't have a problem with it. She has naturally full, deep grips. She can be handled very good in protection.
She's also very social with other dogs and has (untrained to do so) no problem going with me on a night walk through a packed city. She loves people.
What I don't like about her is that she gets distracted very easily and also she gets frustrated very easy. She's a bit too long for my liking and she's a tall female with 60,5cm and 32kg.
Personally I like Asko Lutter a lot, unfortunately I only know two dogs coming from him and they are great. Yet I heard that they can be a bit of "bastards" until they fully matured.
I also like Crok Erlenbusch (heard about he produces bad hips) and Pike Schafbachmühle (heard about producing bad elbows lol).
From the "new" males I really like Goran van Serburus and Drago vom Patriot. Unfortunately both dogs aren't available to the german breeding anymore but sons from them. I also like Falk Wölfen but a few people told me that he wasn't very sound and easily startled.
As they are always some people who don't like the dogs and tell things about them that aren't true I would like to hear some honest opinions on the dogs listed. The more personal the experience the better!
I'm very new to breeding and pedigree analyzing so I would be forever grateful for some expert insight ;)
(just for your information: the litter will happen at it's earliest in fall 2017 so I've got tons of time to look for the "perfect" male to use)
Best regards and thank you for all answers
Vanessa
Ps: If there are any questions you may want to ask about Zany, go ahead and I'll try my best and answer them!

I´d start to search for a stud in spring 2017...
Good luck!

I'm not looking for a specific dog right now but for the right lines I can then choose a good dog from in spring 2017 and see the males from this line personally.
As you noticed I only mentioned one dog who is available to german breeding right now I might be interested in and that was Tchad.
All of the other dogs I like are sold or dead ;) (except the other four czech dogs)
I posted this as I'm curious about the lines of my girl, what lines fit to her, what you guys think about the dogs I posted, share some experiences with their offspring, how the offspring works etc...

Not me though, I´m only used to German lines...

This is interesting to me -- I have a Gringo Bady-Ron son and I have an Isabelle Provocativo daughter. :) I love my Gringo son--clear head, tons of drive, smart/loves to learn, eager to please, he ADORES people (which apparently comes from his mom's side), super grips, great barking, no dog aggression. He's young, just turned 2.
My Isabelle daughter is out of a DDR male. She is a lovely, happy dog with medium+ prey drive, she's absolutely gorgeous, pretty high energy but not neurotic or hyper, and incredibly steady nerves. She is pretty handler sensitive and really wants a human to adore--that could be from her DDR sire.
Personally, I would ask the people at Jinopo what they think/recommend.

Aside from any other factors, I personally would not line breed on Vito or add any more of anything with Grim z PS in the pedigree or any other dog with high risk of bloat/torsion...Vito bloated/torsioned, as did Bady (as did a Bady son & 2 other Vito sons I know of), Grim produced more than the average number of offspring that did (ostensibly from Kaso z PS who died of bloat/torsion). (Drago v Patriot has a littermate whose owner told me he died of bloat/torsion also fwiw).
On paper I like Gringo bady ron best from your list--I have talked to folks that have linebred on Norbo & the only "negative"(if you think it is one) is several of them did not like dead prey. I bred to a male out of Norbo's littermate Nessie & I also got a couple pups that didn't like dead prey.
I have seen a couple Falk sons that I like a ton....& several offsring & grandoffspring that have nerve issues (both environmental & drive control/containment/not clear headed). Also off colors & several dogs with white on them (chest, toes/feet).

From what I have read and hear you do not want to line breed to much on Dargo Ha Ja Da as you cold end up with some elbow problems.
I have heard the same thing about Vito and bloat... but I have not heard or seen of Grim bloating.
I personally like Gringo's pedigree the best.. I really like what I have seen from Zoran Ben Ju and also Frankie Anrebri.

Thank you all so much for answers! Time zones make it hard for me to answer fast ;)
Christine: thank you for sharing your personal experience!
Candace: thanks for your insight! That's why I asked - nobody ever told me about problems with bloating/torsion with Vito before! I will note that and keep it definitely in mind!
About Falk: do you happen do know with which lines he mixes well? I met Zorro Mordschau briefly this year on the BSP and he seemed to be a very stable dog with absolutely no issues. I also met Miro Wällerhorst two years ago and he seemed also a very sound and stable dog.
My trainer yet told me he met Falk at the BSP I think in 2001 (I can't quite remember need to ask him again) and he was startled by literally everything. Not in a fearful manner but he seemed very hectic and nervous.
Jyl: thanks for your experience! I'm so sorry that you had to put your dog to sleep! It's never easy especially when they're so young...
Oh and the dogs don't need to be from czech lines - I'm open for literally everything!

Assuming you're planning to title your female between now and then, you might want to look at Nate Harves' Hoky son, Cero Jivo: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=2255809-cero-jivo
