The differences between physical appearances seen in different GSD cults is one of marketing not biology. I can have any configuration of the GSD from small herding styles to heavy bodied and too large biting types and everything in between. I have had them all (different GSD types) and it is a matter of fashion and marketing. The dogs can all be good or poor from any fashion line from show to biting. Buy or breed what you want and leave the other GSD types and people alone. No one organization owns the GSD breed nor can any organization force their interpretation of "fashion" on the others. I have had show and I have working types primarily at the moment .. my show was a great dog and my present dogs are great dogs. The label does not define the dog.
