I purchased a dog and a breeding from Peggy Sue Walker, the owner German Shepherd Security.
The breeding failed, the litter was lost and the dog was spayed as recommended by multiple vets (including hers).
Her contract stated live puppies or a puppy from another litter. We agreed I would get a puppy in lieu of the breeding. That litter was lost and she now refuses to provide a puppy or a refund.
She no longer has one of the males I agreed to breed to, or pick a puppy from, and the other she claims she will no longer use for breeding due to his age.
She then offered me an older female dog instead of the puppy, IF I trade her the male dog I purchased (that I do not want to part with) for another male she claims doesn't fit her breeding program.
When I told her I wouldn't trade my male but I would like more info on the female she offered, she tells me it won't work for her unless I trade my dog.
Unfortunately I didn't do enough homework prior to doing business with Peggy, as there seem to be several other people who have had issues when dealing with her.
I'm afraid court is my only option in this situation.
To those of you who have purchased dogs from this kennel or who have dealt with this breeder, I would like to hear about your experiences and I'm curious to know if some of the situations I have read about where ever resolved.
Thank you

You can search this web site and find information about her, I am quite sure that a google search will tell you a lot more

Just search this site. You will find enough here I think she has changed her kennel name at least 3 or 4 times. She was using other kennel name on her dogs. And she will tell you that she works for the courts and threaten you.

I did find several posts here on this site.
Steve I sent you a message. I was curious if anyone has ever taken legal action.
It looks as though many have been burnt and she continues to get away with this?
Will the AKC do anything if enough complaints are filed?
I purchased a 9 month old male who was so scrawny, skinny, hungry and thirsty, when I took him home on trial, that I was concerned he might have had kidney or other health issues. I wouldn't commit to purchasing him until I had him vet checked and bloodwork done. He was full of worms and just needed groceries.
Now that he has blossomed into a nice looking animal, she wants him back. Even if I didn't like the dog, I wouldn't send him back.
Most of the dogs there looked OK but a few were very lean. I read similar comments from others.
If anyone is willing to discuss their experiences with me, they are welcome to send me a private message if they prefer.
Thank you

I bought a 2 year old female she guaranteed to OFA... Well .. guess what she had really bad hips!
She didn't have anyway to covr her guarantee and I never got reimbursed and as burned for ovr $2500

Have you contacted the local AC in her area about what you have noticed? That is the only thing I can think of, also contacting AKC about your complaint. You will need proof (email, possibly any vet reports).

Your female failing to produce puppies was not her fault. You should have considered leasing a bitch to get a litter from the male you wanted. She probably had no control over what was born and if you wanted what puppy she had available at the time. I have never heard of stud services as being refundable, especially when service was provided.

I have no other idea about your trade deals , if she is shady or not.. Just my opinion on giving stud service.

She no longer has one of the males and the other she stopped using due to his age. She wrote the Contract then refused to honor it. I understand each person has different terms but when you can no longer offer the service because the dogs are no longer useful or available and if you refuse to honor your own terms and contract, then issue a refund.
We breed horses and stand a stallion for service.
If the mare can't conceive, I issue a refund, not insist they go find a mare to lease. There are not a lot of people out there willing to hand over a valuable, quality animal for someone else to use for breeding.

In the OP you stated that She no longer has one of the males I agreed to breed to. Was that male, by any chance, Troas von Haus Cimmerian? I know Peggy Sue Walker had him pictured as one of her stud dogs a couple of months back on her website. I am just curious as to what happened to him. Thank you.
