For the first time at Purina, we will have TENDING STYLE HERDING INSTINCT TESTING.
WHEN? Monday, October 12, 2015.
WHERE? At the herding facility at Purina
HOW MUCH? $65 per dog
NO PRIOR TRAINING IS NECESSARY!!! HELP SUPPORT HERDING AT THE NATIONAL!!!
Tending Instinct Testing evaluates the dogs aptitude to patrol a border, working with a flock of sheep to demonstrate an interest in the stock and a willingness to honor the border between dog and sheep. This style of testing takes longer than the more often seen round pen testing, as the dog is taught to honor the border. There will be a maximum of 20 dogs tested.
Instinct tests are judged pass or fail. Dogs earning a passing rating will earn a GSDCA Tending Instinct Certificate AND one leg towards their AKC Herding Instinct Test Certificate.
Send a check made out to "GSDCA" and a completed entry form with signed waiver to:

Instinct test entries may fill. Day-of-event entries will be taken, space permitting, but if you really want to test your dog, enter early!
Come Try Dock Diving
This year at the GSDCA Nationals, there will be dock diving demonstrations and competitions hosted by North America Diving Dogs at Purina's Incredible Dog Arena.
Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 14-15, from 1 to 3 p.m. NADD will put on demonstrations.
After the demonstration, instructors will be available to assist anyone who wants to let a dog try this exciting event. For more information, click here.

Adding these events demonstrates the desire of the GSDCA's leadership to have an all inclusive club. German Shepherd Dogs are not limited in their range of working abilities. Now lovers of the breed can have one club that offers them what they want.

COST: Only $19.95 - Free microchip, insertion and lifetime enrollment in AKC/Reunite
(Chips are the international ISO). .
