BTW, blitzen, I didn't 'throw the op under the bus'. When there are no WL posters left on here, who ya gonna bitch about, then? Reading complaints about the same shit over and over again sure is fun... Good bye.

One more thing...the only videos posted lately have been from vk4gsd, because he has the balls to take the bs. The video i tried to post was a training session gone bad, to show what happens when no sleeve is on the arm. I also did a follow up post about that dog becoming a very good competiton sport dog. I suppose you never saw that though. After all, that would indicate that perseverince and better training will produce good results. Enjoy having your forums back:-) .

You guys have issues for real. I posted to yahoo answers and even Mexican treated me way better than here in this forum. Me not knowing much about the breed doesn't give anyone the right to be disrespectful n the first place. I've seen working dogs looks beautiful beyond description and I've seen show dogs in YouTube doing obedience like no other dogs. If I had the money to get my dream dog I will get a male dark sable, no offense not saying they are better dogs, but that was the one I grew up seing in my contry, the one I grew up wanting as a kid the only german shepherd I saw unti I got here , now I love them all .
Sorry if I started a war
Regarding to my dog pedigree it may not fulfill your expectations but for me has no price. Most of you will sell your to get one better. That will make you a better breeder, not a better owner than me.
PS. Sorry if in any moment I offended o showed discontent with any of you.
if I did my apologies . Enjoy your majestic animals

I wonder if the OP felt jumped on, eventually in this thread?

Gee, ya think so?  Roll eyes

Windy, you really do need to have a tough hide to hang out here, but there are A LOT of very knowledgeable people. Many of the people are also hobby breeders, who breed on a small scale with the goal of bettering the breed. They are NOT in it for the money. Of all the things you said here that was the one that got me mad, and showed your lack of experience.

A good breeder spends considerable time reasarching pedigrees before they breed. They make sure the parent dogs have had all neccesary testing. At a minimum, they do hips and elbows, and often also test for DM (degenerative myelopathy) and heart and eye problems. They also train and title their dogs. This costs considerable time AND money. Then, there is usally a stud fee, tests for veneral disease, and sometimes progesterone tests to time the mating correctly. Often a conscientious breeder does ultrasounds and x-rays to find out of the bitch is pregnant and how many puppies to expect. Assuming the whelping goes smoothly, and there's no need for a vet to help out, they then have the cost of raising the pups to the age of 8 weeks. The will need vaccinations and worming before they are sold. Then, of course there is the very difficult task of trying to make sure the pups go to the best possible homes, homes where they will be loved and cherished and trained, and not tied out on a chain and forgotten...

And you wonder why puppies cost so much??

That's what a breeder that truly cares about the breed does.

And that's why your dog's pedigree raised some red flags, because a lot of the dogs had no health testing and no titles.

I've posted now and then on Yahoo Answers, and was appalled at the ignorance of many of the people who posted there. It is NOT a good place to learn about dogs. To give an example, when one person asked how long a dog stays pregnant, FOUR people answered "three months", when the average pregnancy lasts just over two (sixty-three days).

You WILL learn a lot here, if you can stand being criticized now and then.

You asked about "the road you should take"...
I´d go the road of training, titling, showing, and health testing.
I´m pretty sure as soon as your good looking pup passed all of this every single member on this board will be willing to discuss about any breeding partners.
Try to find a good club, and try to learn about your dog as much as possible. Afterwards a lot of questions will be answered.
Good luck!

People gave you correct, solid advice and you blew over them like they are fools.
Others have issues? How about you PMing me out of the blue telling me to learn to read, and that I'm a smart ass old man? Lol

Hunterjumper, that's OK, those of us who know you, know better, lol. Plus, the op has the influential people behind him. Sound advice not needed :-)

I have apologized like 3 times and I'm taking notes believe it or not. But in more than 8 pages there are no more than 8 advice just some friendly advices and a bunch of people fighting over a line of dogs
No one was born knowing.and I don't think anyone pull a championship with the first puppy. There's a lot of arrogance around here but this looks like a never ending story. My lack of knowledge about the breed is not beyond the lack of respect of some people here. My apologies one more time, I just wish this thread is over

This dirty ole man (46) bets my only nickel, that if Windy is really serious , she did learn something good out of all our spent time on here
