show or working line for my female ? help (be advised graphic pics, may upset some) - Page 1

I knowt is too early to worry about that but I wonder I have a female german shepherd half show and half working line and I'd like to know with road should I take. I love both line but I'm concerned about making a wrong decision sorry I couldn't copy paste the link but you can look her up by the name of uhma von broin.

If you're asking about which way to go when you breed her...It all depends on what you want to do...Why did you choose her (when you bought her)...Why did you do with 1/2 Working line 1/2 Showline?

What is your goal...Do you want dogs from Working line or Showline...?

Your puppy is nice looking from what you can see but other can tell you better on her Conformation...But how's her Drives for the work...

Drive is really good,not for food but she love to work. The reazon I picked her was budget. My wife love show line, I love both she was 2 months when i bought her 12 pounds the second of the smallest,but good food and genetics are paying off.she is now 6 month 23 inches 51 pounds. Best dog I could afford really happy with the pedigree and and lovely friend.

Ditto what Q Man/Bob said and I'll take it one step farther and suggest you train her and title her in some venue before you make a breeding choice.

Your dog is not 1/2 working and 1/2 show lines, she is more than 75% show lines. Having said that, after looking at the pedigree, I, personally, would never breed this dog even if you are successful at titling and breed surveying her. I'm sure she's a fine dog but there is simply too much missing information, especially as it relates to basic health clearances, on far too many dogs in her lineage making any breeding a virtual crapshoot.

I will never understand why the end game for so many dog owners is making puppies and not about their dogs. Why not enjoy this dog for what she is and use your time with her to learn about training and bloodlines, etc. so that you will be better prepared to select and train a breeding prospect with your next dog?

Your female has very nice head,very good color and she is more show line than working line,and the top of her pedigree is very nice.Do the hips elbows,and if the temperament is sound breed her.Don't lessen to anyone you will get confuse doing that.Fallow your heart,the most important is what you think and what is in the best interest for you and her.I seen many much worse dogs bred on PDB and those breeders never asked anyone they did it anyway.Good luck with her.

Yes, by all means, never consider what's in the best interest of the breed or the puppies you'll produce.

Seriously?!?!?! Great advice. Tell a novice to follow their heart and not search out information and knowledge 

@windy torres - enjoy your dog and the bond you develop, be active with her. But with all sincerity, please do not conseder breeding her until you learn more about the breed, genetics and have a good understanding of what the end result a GSD is supose to be.
