http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=2377221-baudin-vom-sprin

will put several pics up since I do not stack.

These are just natural.

Since the breeder of Balo, 7mo on Sept 18, and the Breeder of his Dam are both members here they too will be interested.

I like him.
This is the worst age to show pictures of a pup, but he looks healthy and happy.
Great color, great presence, great coat - everything else difficult to judge because of pics and age...

His pedigree is amazing, a littlebit out of everything Teeth Smile - and some of his ancestors I had the pleisure to meet personally.
Thanks for the memories!

Though non of the pictures show a good stack, I still could see what I usually look at for a critique, but scattered all over the pictures.
For his age, he has good size and proportions, nice coat and color, I personally prefer darker brown hairs. Nice head and earset. Strong neck, high withers that will hopefully get a bit longer as he matures. Nice strong back, very good croup, both in length and angle. Needs a bit more angulation in the rear, very good hocks and feet. Good pasterns that hopefully will get stronger as he matures, nice front angulation, front upper arm needs a bit more length, very good shoulder lay back. I am not good at pedigrees, so I didn't look, but his nice structure most probably comes from nicely built ancestors. Good luck with him.

Thanks
As I said I do not know how to work the stack

I also discovered the first pic was taken on a slope rear end higher than front

I agree N will put him on a table and find a dog person to take pics

Balo learns easy
SO maybe this weekend we can get him to POSE up
on a solid plane

I don't know why folks her are so obsessed with still pics stack or not. what's so hard about walking the dog around on a loose leash; past the camera, to the camera, away from the camera then trot the dog in a circle.

more info than this stupid fixation of artificial stacks where they have a team of people to position the dog and get a pic while pushing and pulling the dogs head, neck, hips legs etc.

so fake.

anyhoo, nice dog, shows balance and strength, not overdone in any way.

and really long nice tail, set well, good bone, nice expressions and head.

overall very nice dog.

A team??? I just take dogs' pics while they're standing still, by giving them a command to do so. A properly-conformed dog does not need a team to stack them. They do it naturally.

I thought that is what did .
He is not that far off except catching his rear angled
I will try to get one good pic

But I need a person to do the camera

Yes Jenn that's how I try to do

I think the type of picture taken is all about what you as an individual owner think is important. Some people want to show a GSD by the "traditional" stack, which so far as I know is one of, if not the only breed that is ever shown that way. Others want to show a dog's movement. And on it goes.

I'll tell you what I like about GSD pics of any variety- the facial expression. Love an alert look that shows maybe a little bit of mischief, intelligence and joy. All of the things I like about the breed. Your dog seems to exhibit all of those.

Thanks Susie: Did you meet Ham v Urbecke or the dogs out of Gretchen's line?

I saw Sheesh girls head shot on the other thread and she is gorgeous( Fallon) Love the very dark muzzle, good brown eyes and ears like radar beams. Here is Baudin's close up three weeks ago  Black spot on top of tongue barely showing .

I managed to get this still shot with head high in alert.

Ibrahim is pretty thorough, even though Balo is not all  showline with tons of angulation , and he will not be in a show ring...hoping to keep him headed to the IPO 1 at least.

I think exposing him for opinion of those who do breed both sides is what I am looking to hear.

Will work on stack, this week end.

Nice  looking youngster I don,t care about that flashy unnatural show stack , show dog in natural positions
is more important ,agility ,health, nerves ,balance etc

Good luck  PS  I like also the  straight  back and colors
