Does anyone out there have contact info for a reputable GSD or Malinois kennel in the Czech Republic, or anywhere in Europe for that matter?  I'm looking for a new Police dog but I want to work directly with the vendor, no middlemen... Needs to be reputable and have a varying selection. Thanks in advance!

what's a "varying selection" ?

by tzahlmann on 27 May 2015 - 09:05

Varying selection means large/good selection... Many dogs to look at, at varying experience, training, age, etc...

The thing is that if you don't know these people then you're still taking a chance on buying a dog...On both sending your money and the quality of dog you receive...

The reason you use a broker from the U.S. is because they have contacts and they take the responsibility of getting you what you want...and pay for...

There are plenty of good dogs in the U.S....both breeders and brokers...You can see what you're getting before paying for it...Your chances of getting what you want is much better...There's now a lot of very good dogs in the U.S....

tzallman, I supply dogs to USA vendors and agree with Q man , when I get a group of good dogs together I ship to client so would say you will have bigger choice at american vendors place and shorter lines to work with than when flying to europe.

I second Q Man.

Why an import? With the price of the dog and shipping factored in, you really could be spending more than what you need to.

I was burned pretty bad on a young dog from what I thought was a reputable seller, nothing negative came up about him online, even knew some acquaintances that used him with great success. Now I have a very expensive pet Wondering

I would suggest finding someone here, that way you can test the dog before making a purchase.

Let me know if you change your mind and would like some US vendor recommendations.

A 'good selection' makes it sound like a puppy farm.   How many

dogs do you want to choose from ?

HM, the dogs are selected from many sources and then sent to the vending machine... I mean vendor:-) Being as different customers like different flavors of soda pop, so do they like different flavors of dogs. Better to go to the vending machine with a wide selection instead of a narrow one...more likely to quench your wants that way :-) Just a guess some guys buying for some departments may not be able to make up their mind what to buy, so , pick a combination of types of dogs, then send the ones back that don't fit.
PS.. I'm not saying the op needs this selection option.

did the OP say s/he was in US??

Yes
