Be sure to click on the links that talk about the funding for studies. If this study unfolds as the other CHF DNA studies have, there will probably be a request for DNA samples. Usually the initial testing is done at no cost.

We continue to collect samples for these projects, and we would be extremely grateful to owners who wished to participate by contributing blood and pedigree information from healthy (aged) dogs and from affected dogs. I hope people participate as it would be great to find a way to diagnose and treat this disease.

Just like any other health study, the more that participate the sooner there will be results.
