I was looking at some puppies and saw one that was 2-4,4 on Paska. Is that to much or to close?  Thinking of buying one

So that would be a half brother/sister on the 2/4 and fourth generation.  Depends on how good the dogs are...  What is behind the l/2 bro/sister healthwise, hip wise, cardio wise,  thyroid wise, temperament plays a hugh role;  if you are talking the best to the best then maybe; otherwise, don't do it.  Nan

2-3 is the closest allowed. Some very experienced breeders have done 2-2, when seeking a particuilar outcome.

Kyle, the rules changed. Since 1/1 2015 nothing closer than 3/3 is allowed now within SV.

I believe the breeding that the OP was asking about is a Mal litter.

Susie - thanks for the updated info, didn't know about the new SV rule.
