Karim,

No one here can tell you anything about the puppy. Picture and pedigree are two components out of dozens to consider. When you say you have 'no idea', that's a problem. You're about to purchase something that will be a big part of your life for the next 10 years or so. Having 'no idea' at the start is not a good thing. Buying from someone you don't know in another country has it's own set of risk. Just look at all the posts here.

Find a breeder close to you and meet their dogs. If their dogs look like the type you want. Learn from them and get a puppy from them. Much better chance of success in the end.

The pedigree looks good, except there are some missing or iffy hip scores on the dam's side. What are your plans for the dog?

Personally, I don't like to buy a dog unless i can see it in person, and see the dam. Sire, too, of course, if he's living nearby.

Lots of people on here have been disappointed or ripped off when doing overseas transactions. OF COURSE the buyer will tell you this is the best puppy ever whelped!!  Roll eyes

Ive been ripped off by breeders in America so it happens here also just like it does in Europe. I do not know showlines  well but I,m with Silver alot of missing info on the female,s side bottom of ped that would really concern me.Most breeders do not seem eager to point out their pups flaws but any honest breeder will. All dogs and pups have flaws somewhere.

Would want to check into what the story as to whether a 12 week old pup that was born in Hungary, yet is shown as presently being in Egypt, is now being sold directly by the breeder themselves, or if you're dealing with a broker who may or may not actually have that pup and/or the right to offer said pup for purchase.

Karim, are you in Egypt yourself, or a nearby country? Have you seen the pup in the flesh yourself, or can you do so before you commit to the purchase? The time for questions and investigations is before you make such a commitment, because once you've parted with a single penny, it will be too late to back out without losing your money.  And once you have the pup with you, it will be too late to try and remedy any problems.

Karim,

pedigree itself is as good as almost all showline pedigrees.

as noted above, health data is missing on some of the dogs on the mother side, you can ask for a copy of mother's pedigree and check that data such as HD and ED.

Did you deal with this breeder before? If not check the honesty of breeder through those who dealt with him before from your country prior to transferring the money.

Ask the breeder to send you a small video of the puppy and post it here for opinion, experienced members will comment on its character and structure as much as will be visible to them.

Good luck

ibrahim

Thank you all for your very valuable opinions.. I appreciate it very much...

I saw the puppy twice but dont know the breeder... here in Egypt I really have a problem coz the breeders I found all seem to just want to sell!!!!

I want a pet and watch dog actually... I am moving into a house in the country side near Cairo with a lot of space for a dog to move around.

My family (wife and 2 kids 19 and 22) and I love dogs... we had a labrador retriever for 12 years and she passed away... That broke our hearts :(

When I say I have no idea... I mean no idea about understanding the pedigree of a puppy and I also have no experience in German Shepherds as part of my family.

My son (19) is interested in breeding, however he still needs to know much more about German Shepherds to start. I promised him to start a business in 2 years if he does all the homework needed till then.

So as you see, I want to buy a German Shepherd puppy that has a good pedigree in case one day we go in the breeding direction.

The problem here in Egypt is that you can buy a GS puppy for 150$ up to 1500$ if local... Imported dogs start at 1700$ and the sky is the limit..

Now this puppy is imported from Hungary and the guy wants 2000$ which I am ready to pay if she ok.

I just noticed that the Damms in the family are almost all of unknown hipp history so I am kind of worried a bit.

I hope im not giving you all a headache with all this.

Thank you very much for your advice in advance and have a lovely day
Karim

I'm not sure that's my topic, but I can't find better at first blink.

I want to registry a dog, but I can't find her breed. I look after for an hour Transylvanian Hound, but I still can't find it. What should I do?

Stonefruit, if you'll click on "Terms of Service" at the bottom of the page, and then scroll down to the very end of THAT page where you will find a clickable link for the site owner, Oli, as well as the site administrator, GSD Admin. Click on GSD Admin, and send him a private message to request a category is opened so owners of Transylvanian Hounds can enter pedigree information for their dogs on this site. Since they are an FCI-recognized breed, I imagine the site owner would be happy to add the breed if there are fanciers who are interested in using this site to store pedigree info and communicate with one another in forums.

They're quite an interesting breed; they remind me of the Coonhound breeds here in the USA.
