My life has always been filled with friends and acquaintances who have surprised me or shown me real human love or respect many times. Many doors have been opened by unsuspecting acts and it only shows me how many people do use their hearts and are giving and do care about others.]

Early afternoon I attended a birthday/hen party in my neighborhood for a 91 year old lady who has been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. I arrived and being new to the neighborhood, knew very few of the people in attendance but one lady who has been very kind and nice, had on a beautiful blue blouse.  I made a comment how wonderful that color looked on her and how she really needed the stone I had on around my neck as I do not wear blue, but the necklace I had on was very old and only worn 2 times in 35years.  SHE admired it and I took off my silver chain and gave it to her...NO regrets at all...I do not wear blue..

Arrived home around 5:00p,m and was playing in front yard with Cheuui, new pup, and a van drove up and stopped.

A man who is a neighbor on other side of my street, who owns an automotive shop body shop , in Dallas, got out and walked towards me...He greeted me and held out his hand palm down and closed...I  put out my hand and into it he dropped a medium size  Silver German Shepherd head, made of Pewter...I was taken back and my mouth was open in awe..HE said a customer had it in his auto and when he ask him , where do I find one of those , as we have a neighbor who is a trainer and breeder and new to our community and she would love that..   THE man gave it to him and said  Please take this and give it to her..

My neighbors wife was at the hen party and of course , I do not think she knew he had this gsd head , but she knew I gave my stone to my other neighbor . I know my heart was filled once again with kindness and gratitufe for a wonderful neighbor . THEY are the kind of people who we need more of in our troubled world..

Here is a picture of the Pewter head which on back says   I LOVE  Heart my German Shepherd...

IT has an inscription I cannot read   made in USA   Pewter but cannot make out the ID of manufacturer   even with a magnifying glass...has a date I cannot read also..

I gave aways something without regret to make someone else happy and less than 2 hours later someone gave me back a piece of jewelry to put back on that same Silver chain...  Tells me that God does work  in mysterious ways.  Even in the German Shepherd World.

Back side...If anyone knows who this manufacturer is or can read date and manuf. please let me know..

Just another Joy in my life. Just wanted to share.

They do say "What goes around, comes around."   Well, we say it over here,  do you have the same in the US ?

Perfect example of it working, anyway.  A lovely story;  glad for you, YR ,and thanks for brightening my day.

Thanks,

Yes ,we have same saying in several ways...Means same for good and bad...and it is true.

Out of all my belongings and possessions, one little GSD head for my chain means more than all the diamonds you can round up ...

It's Rawcliffe Pewter.  I had one years ago that I lost somewhere between PA and ID.  I don't think they're made anymore.

It looks like it is modelled on the same head - or very similar - to trinkets that can still be bought at the German  Siegerschau.
