Yes it is possible and the truth, a Russian breeder has DOMINANT black gene color in his strain of German Shepherd. How he did it he refused to tell me

Any details on this dam (does she generally produce high drive dogs)? Is there anyway to see if any of her line is in the US with the dominant gene?

I read the thread about the bleed through on the solid blacks..MY Queen von der Held has the touch of dark brown between her toes And when shedding season comes her red tints of undercoat come to top until she is brushed..
this dog may be black ..hard to tell on Queens top side back to 1957
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=1609-reina-vom-holzheimer-eichwald black ???
I was looking for my favorite V Frei von der Gugge.. IN my female Queen Von der Held black female Frei von der Gugge is there back in 1966 behind Asko shada vom Wolffhaus.a black female on dams side being the grandmother of Queen .
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=2148796-queen-von-der-held black
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=423839-askos-shada-vom-wolffhaus black
and behind Askos
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=1250-frei-von-der-gugge VA black
who was BSP Enno v Antrefftal 's sire blk/red
Immediately behind we have Orthos grdam
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=19865-esthera-van-tiekerhook Black
Then on dams side we find
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=120383-diablo-von-den-teutonen black male behind Kiah
Then again VA http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=1250-frei-von-der-gugge black, appears again on Dams side back to 1966?
Then http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=2920-blacky-vom-neuen-lande black, bottom of dams
Then http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=1747-vello-von-der-niddereiche black
followed again VAhttp://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=1250-frei-von-der-gugge Black
Other Black dogs in this pedigree are: Rangers Dark Shadow, Schexeiders Tessie , Pascha V Raben flugel, Sheba Sergeivitch Pushkin
SO is FREI V D GUGGE the contributing factor since he is in this pedigree 4 times /or more top and bottom????
So Queen is black because recessive? She has been only bred to Black/red, never had a black pup.???Queens parents are both Black/Tan
Christine where are you ....
.these below I just found behind the dog posted in another post above.
https://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=462648-jung-bendix-von-raff 1912
Then behind Jung is this black dog. born in 1903

Hey Rose How are you? I read in that book on the Fortunate Fields program that Roland was the first black and they also showed all the linebreeding and inbreeding regarding where the black came into play. I don't have a scanner--I will try to go Monday to my friend's office and scan that page for you.
