http://youtu.be/CvDjCd6DyZ8 I know and you guys know ASL dogs have no drive or temperament for bite work. Here is a 9 month old AKC pointed puppy, Bomber, doing his thing. Short but gets the point across it's all in what you're willing to look for. I think she said 3 pups out of this litter are doing bitework. 2 weeks ago I bred to the sire of this puppy. Yes those old old American lines I like to brag about. Here is his pedigree. http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=2069419-dreamweavers-pabst-blue-ribbon CHIC certified and also his eyes are done every year. I think we are going to have some hellacious puppies. We'll see.

Good to see a pup working. Hopefully they keep it up. A more experienced helper will help the dog as well. He's not rewarding at the correct times.
Right now the pup looks good.

Thank you and yes I think it will be kept up. Well when you live in an area with no clubs I guess you do the best you can do helper wise. I am very proud of her for starting her puppers out like this. She definately believes our dogs are a working breed and that running around the ring doesn't just get it.

pm me where she's at and I'll see if I know/can find someone. Hate to see potential lost.

Oookay, the light finally dawns here! Remember when that pic of Caralon's Phantom was posted a few months back? And I was very puzzled when someone said I'd know the lines, because they were Shiloh-related? And I was like WTF are you talking about?? (Phantom is 6 generations back in the pedigree Vonisk linked to above.)
Now I see where the link is. Tina bred extensively to the Glendhenmere lines. She also owned Danlyn's Kaja, and called her "the total dog" and said she was the foundation for her dogs' working lines!
Very interesting to dig into the 'back 40' of this dog to see where the working ablity comes from...
But of course, most of it is waay too far back to matter....
Vonissk, this was an AI breeding, no doubt... :)

I need to qualify that the current Shiloh lines are no longer capable of doing this sort of work...
Kaiser, son of Danlyn's Kaja x Frack von Rosshaus, from back when the Shilohs were still GSD's and knew how to work...

He also goes back to Bodo v. Lierberg and the Arminius and Wildstiegerland dogs... He and my own Star share Palme v Wildstieger Land, as well as some of the old Shiloh lines. (Just wish Star didn't have her FOURTEEN TIMES in her pedigree!)
There is linebreeding on Falk v. Bihari Wonder, and Joe Bihari started out breeding European style dogs that knew how to work, and had good structure.
Danlyn's Kaja goes back to the Celler Schloss dogs...very good work ethic there!

Sun all that working ability is not as far back as you think. I have studied this pedigree along with many other AM ones. I have many years of early--like 70's Reviews. And for anyone who does know, they were very different back in the day than they are now. Dogs and the Reviews. Much much more info.......These dogs have retained their self thinking and their work ethic.
Yes this time it was an AI. 2 heats ago I went to Houston where Shadow, the sire, is located and we did a breeding--I feel it took but she absorbed the breeding. IMO with a little input from Doc. Point is I have met this dog, I have had my hands on him and I love him. SOLID as a rock. So yes she was AI'd 2 weeks ago tomorrow. This is my Mauli dog. http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=609405-marybecks-mauli-ishto-von-issk For those of you who don't remember her. LOL
Sending you a PM. Also bczc.
Also thanks for posting that GSD Lineage--I have been to their site and they seem to be an old kennel--my Italian is limited. I believe it was last year there was a nice girl named Julie who went possible Siegrien at the Italian shows--if not it was 2 or 3.

Meant to add, at the Italian Seiger Show--not just the shows.
