There are several changes in the statutes, some of them important, some of them not important.

What I personally think is important:

  • The part about over- and undersize ( 1 cm ) is deleted without substitution until 2020 !!!
  • Every stud used more than 30 times has to be x-rayed in front and rear again, and they have to x-ray for OCD including a new DNA check, all of this made in another clinic than the first time !!!
  • Linebreeding closer than 3/3 is forbidden !!! ( 01.01.2015 )
  • Agility3 and obedience3 titles will be shown in the pedigrees of the offspring
  • A new Herding instinct test (HIT)
  • A temperament test "by choice" starting in 2015 ( everything starts "by choice, a couple of years later it will be mandatory...)
  • We already have trial inspectors, now there will be breed survey inspectors, too.

Kind regards
Susie, too,

Thank-you for posting the information, Susie.
Do you know if there is a link/url that discusses the changes?

There have been long discussions in the forefield ( breed warden committee, trial committee ). This is the result.

These changes are written down in the latest SV magazine.

Hi there,

Thanks for the updates.

Could you please expend a little bit in regards to 1cm over or under size....are they now allowed to be more cm under or over or are they now being strict and limit the size of 65 cm for upper and 60 cm for lower size end (males)?

@susie, why do you think the "temperament test" is even mentioned in the statute update? Are they talking about a BH being optional for conformation?  Or are they talking about the BH being optional to enter IPO, FH, RH, etc, which all currently require the BH?  Or are they talking about a BH being optional for herding (HGH), which does not currently require the BH?  Also, is the new herding instinct test now required to enter the HGH?  Was anything mentioned about the BGH1-3 as well? Can you clarify some more?

Seeofred, this means, that a over/undersized dog ( MORE than 1 cm over/undersized, but otherwise well structured ), is allowed to achieve a "G, SG, or V" rating on a show, and a "pass" on the breed survey.

Momosgarage, no change in the rules, BH is BH, nothing optional - this is a NEW temperament test. I´m waiting for the rules of this test.

The HIT is just an instinct test, nothing else.

The BgH1-3  now counts for sports medals ( 1 - 3 points ).

NO CHANGES in THE BREEDING REQUIREMENTS ( at least for now ).
