This is my 4 year old GSD.
I welcome any comments on his XRays.
Thanks!

Did you send these in to OFA or the SV? I hope not as the dog is not positioned correctly in the hip xrays. I would have them re-done at a vet that is skilled and knows how to CORRECTLY position a dog for hip xrays.
As for the Patellas.... I do not have enough experience with those. So I will not comment on them.

No these were not sent in for rating.
He had a clicking in his hip and the vet wanted an xray.

Right hip looks slightly loose but really not so bad for his age; I think both hips are at least fair; cannot comment on knees. Probably wanted to see if noise was coming from knees. Best of luck Nan

Thanks everyone for your help.
I though the same thing, that they don't look too bad.
The positioning problem may have come from him not being fully sedated.
The vet is said at some point he may need a hip replacement.
I'm like WTF?
He's a working dog and he loves to work and I work him.
His a big dog (110 pounds) but he's coming down.
I'll get him down to about 95 and we'll rock on!
Thanks again Nan and JYL.

IMO this dog would receive OFA clearance. I see absolutely nothing wrong with his hips. A hip replacement in the future? My concern would be with finding me a new vet
