SABLE X BLACK/RED-WHAT COLORS WOULD THEY PRODUCE? - Page 1

HELLO ALL!  I'M CONTEMPLATING A BREEDING BETWEEN MY WGS IMPORT FEMALE, BLACK AND RED, ALL BLACK N RED IN HER PEDIGREE, WITH A SABLE SHOWLINE STUD.  I KNOW SABLE IS DOMINANT, BUT WHAT COLORS WOULD I EXPECT TO GET IN THEIR PROGENY? THANKS IN ADVANCE

Sable showline would probably carry black and red (since he's a showline), so my guess would be you would get patterned sables like daddy probably is, and normal black and reds like mommy.

I bred a WL Sable bitch to a B & R SL/WL male and got mostly Sable and 3 B & R.

Just did a breeding similar to yours--4 sables and 2 blk/tans--actually one is turning more red.

I do these breedings often, I get blk and red, red sables, and patterened sables. All gorgeous, lol
