Anyone?  A friend has been looking for this woman or kennel for over 2 years now due to severe health issues.  I'm trying to help her figure out what it is or at least the lines it came from.......

Do you have any other names from the pedigree?

Are you sure it's not a Shiloh or King Shepherd?

Hi Blitzen and Kaff.....

well it appears to be AKC...got little info so far.  Found there was a reg IP adress to a Big Boys and the same breeder name.  I have the ladies( breeders) name and assuming she is now under different name.  I also have the parent names and DNA #s from her AKC paperwork, which she never sent off.   Basically she is looking to find out what is "wrong" with her dog which an abundance of things.  I'm tryng to help her as well to see where to look and if it's commom in the lines.  Her dog is 4...has already been diagnosed with severe HD....but now she's shuffling in both front end and back.  Staggers and has days she can't get up at all.  Tested for DM although none of these are quite the symptons with the front legs.   Plus with the DM test, well we know how that goes in the GSD.  But her vet says it's not DM either.   She at this point will prob have to be put down and the family is aware of this BUT kinda grasping at a last minute miracle hope.   Like if there is soemthing in the lines that could be known and focused on.   She's not looking for anything from the breeder more so than knowing what she can possibly do from here without the painful alternative.

I do have breeders name and email or a previous email.  My friend does have an email as well and has been n touch after looking for her awhile now.   After she told her the prognosis she hasn't responded....which we don't know if that's cause she knows or my friends dog is genetic malfunction to the extreme and the ONLY one suffering.

So, I thought surely I'd find something here and nothing.   Her dog is LC...pretty big girl not sure if she's oversize but at looking yes, I think she'd be.   But point is she says he lady has/had lots of dogs....and 4 yrs old being oversize LC...seems like there'd be more info.   I did advice her to look under Shiloh health issues and try to get better understanding of the issues or what lays in the lnes there.  ??

Test her for lyme-disease, it´s a possibility.

Kind regards

Shuffling and not being able to get up = disintegrating coordination. Could be MG a treatable neurological disease.

Google Mysethenia Gravis and see if this looks like what your friends dog is doing. Can be diagnosed with a blood test thru UC Davis only. Not many vets know about this disease and it's becoming more common in the GSD.
