On March 4, 2012,  I said good bye to Aiko. He was a great dog. Had an awesome temperment.... loved the cats, was a great working dog, rock solid nerves, a fun dog to work, and most important was a great loyal companion.

They are never with us long enough..

I am so sorry for your loss. The love we have for our special dogs seems to run so deep and even after they are gone they remain a part of us. I dont think the pain of the loss ever goes away completely. Aiko was clearly an awesome dog and a wonderful representative of the breed, but most importantly Aiko touched your life in a signifant way and he will always live in your heart. These anniversaries are tough and my heart goes out to you. Thinking of you today as you remember your beautiful boy. Xxxxx

I'm so sorry Jyl, it never stops hurting. Aiko was such a handsome guy, and your bond is apparent in the pictures. Losing such a companion is so painful, but I believe he waits for you.....

Aiko was an awesome dog. I agree he was way to young, they are never with us long enough.

 DRAGONFLY,

I vet said that Aiko had DM. I believed that for a while... but now that I have done more research I do not think it was. They say with DM there is no pain... Aiko's back was sore. I used a pain med for him. He got jammed, BAD, a few years before he died. I think that did something to his back. I got the jam on film.. I have the picture. I will post it later...

A lovely photo tribute to your faithful companion. Aiko has a magnificent expression in the second to last picture.

They all stay in our hearts forever. We are very sorry for your loss.

Thank you. I also loved his expression... I am partial to the dogs with a dark face like him. He was a mostly German showline dog.
Here are a few more pictures of him...

He loved his Jolly Ball..

Aiko says "I dont need no stinkin sleeve"...lol

I dont think Aiko was targeting the sleeve...

I liked his "side transports". Although he did tend to crowd the helper

His Hold and Bark.
