Looking at getting a custom made dog crate for my SUV.  My SUV is small in the rear and can not fit standard dog crate due to rear angling back seat and forward angling rear hatch.

I found one on this site....     http://www.transk9.com/index.php/dog_cage/porsche_cayenne/

I was thinking of the single door model with these dimensions    24" W x 36" D x 26" H

This would only be for travel and not for home crating, although we could be on longer trips for 4+ hours.  My dog is a pup, but lets assume he will grow to size with standards of 75 lbs and 25" at shoulders

Thanks for help

Sitasmom- those are exactly what I bought for my Chevy Suburban, and 2 fit perfectly in back. Love them!

I second Kustomkrates. They have very nice crates. I have talked to several people that one crates from them and everyone has been very pleased.

However, I would NOT use Jackson Creek Manufactoring.... http://www.diamonddeluxe.com/index.php
They have horrible customer service as well as do not have good crates. I ordered from them once and did not what I ordered. I had a heck of a time dealing with them. I ended up finally sending the crate back for a refund. They refused to make another crate for me even thought THEY were the ones that messed up making it.

The SUV dog crate would not work for my SUV, the rear small and I have an angled window and back seat.

The Kustomkrates are crazy expensive!!  But they are beutiful and look like they would last a life time.

I have the same car but not turbo, I can fit a regular crate if you make it horizontal.  No way I want a dog ruining my seats.  Good luck!

Vonrivera- Thanks, but what size crate are you using? My last GSD was huge, 27" at shoulders, 115+ lbs..... Def not std, but not fat either. I never used crate with him, once in car he never wanted out! He was american line, from show line....obviously pet quality, lol, so he was very calm.

My new pup will be working line import so I don't know what to really expect, but can't get my huge boy out of my head when I think crate size.

Since it's for car travel only, I'm thinking a 26" high would be enough

Kustom Krates are very well made and they have a good reputation but they are out of my price range 5,000 for what I wanted.  I have been looking at TransK9.  They are sturdy well made and have a wide variety of sizes.  I am likely going to go with TransK9 as they will only cost me about 1,000 plus 175.00 in shipping.  Kustom Krates the cost is not doable for me.
