Oh wow, you really do have a little runt there. HOW ADORABLE. Are you keeping him for a while?
by JudyK on 03 February 2014 - 16:02
Cute pups. Looks like you might have a dwarf.

Thanks everyone!
Yes Jenni78,
The little runt was going to a nice home, as everyone was spoken for, then the people getting the black boy backed out, so
I offered him to the people that wanted the runt cause we all decided that we will wait till the runt pup is at about ten pounds to be adopted,
he is oh so handsome!
He comes running at you when he is called, he chews on my sneakers and I can feel his little Shepherd teeth dig in,
he is very much a GSD!
I think I caused his problem, as I fed him & the black girl pup with a syringe instead of tube feeding just after they
were born cause they were a bit weak, the black girl only needed about 2-3 days of raw goats milk, raw egg yolk,
a little melted down sugar, and yogurt, (The Leerburg puppy formula). Then she was nursing vigorursly.
I think I got some in his sinus or lungs when I was feeding him, cause he then had a stuffy nose, he is on Clavamox.
Well, his nose is clearing up, he was checked for all the health problems a GSD could have, genetic and diseases,
he had a high white count, coccidia, roundworm, and now that is gone, stools are dark normal tootsie rolls(minature)

I am pleased as heck to see he is just an ordinary runty pup.
Everyone goes to the vet today, I can't wait for them to see the runt again, they will notice a difference, AND he is gaining weight,
he is now almost a whooping 3 pounds!!!!!

I asked the police chief that is getting the big brother, if he can get together in the future with the person that gets the runt for a photo, say when they turn one year or two!

How funny such a cute little guy, pillow was just enough. Lol

by Jenni78 on 03 February 2014 - 17:02
I want to sqeeze him. I don't think you caused that, Paula. He likely would've died if you hadn't helped him. He is just adorable. I hope he has a healthy life and turns out as normal as any other GSD.

I think he's a dwarf too. He almost looks like he's weeks younger then the rest of the litter. I'd sure be interested in seeing how he turns out. Sometimes the odd pups are the most interesting ones.
Best of luck little guy.
