Hello , I am in the process of buying a GSD, so I went to visit a breeder and he offered me a puppy which he says his parents have both a Korung, I am not an expert in this so I would like to know how a Korung is certified and what kind of documents should I ask from the breeder to prove that this is actually truth. I would appreciate if somebody could help me because I had a not so good experience with somo other breeder. Thanks Pedro

Pedro here is the easy way   ask to see the papers.

If the dog has Pink papers then on them it will show what titles have been achieved and what the hip and elbow rating is. They will also have the name, reg number and permanent identification of the animal.
If they don't have Pink papers then ask to see the score book it too will have all the above information.  Write down the dam and sires names that appear and their numbers so you can match it to the papers of the puppy that you wish to buy. Do this for each puppy that you look at from different litters.

Then ask to see the Blue Korung papers and match up the names and reg numbers to the ones on the Pink papers or score book.

Some times the breeder does not own the sire then they should show you copies and give you a copy of them when you buy. This would also apply if they seller does not own the dam.

Again do this for any puppy you are looking at so they do not switch puppies on you  Check before you write the check. You should not be taken advantage of this way.

Good Luck

before you write the check, read the guarantee, ask questions, sign it and have the breeder sign it too - also check all the rip off reports websites too.
