Yes, that's blue! Blue sable, to be more specific.
Maybe that's the future of this little angel?

Top Quality Picture ggturner!
Update:
That dog is called Sergio von Stadtilm, and he is a Rescue up for adoption. 2003?? a decade ago
Lots of added images on the site below!
http://www.sheprescue.org/Sergio%20von%20Stadtilm.html
Will see if he has a traceable pedigree, from the side this dog does not look sable. The girl pup also looks blue/red, not sable... maybe it is still a dark picture.

I found this. I think this is the dog that VKGSDs mentioned? All I know is the breeder is the one who posted him, so my guess is she's ok with people seeing him;-) I hope so! I'm sorry, I think this boy is stunning! I'll be more than content if my blues end up looking like him, though mine may have more blue and less red, since they're a cross (WL/SL) and their dam is very very dark.<shrug> Either way, seeing pics like this are a HUGE relief...though I try not to be so superficial.

I was thinking that about the dog ggturner posted, looking closer. It may just be ratty undercoat.
I thought my girl was b&r at first, swore it for a week, then realized that she was appearing to lighten, like the sables, as her undercoat came in, that upon close examination, her hairs are red near the base, and blue at the tips, so by definition, that's sable. I'll take pics of her w/her brothers and I think you'll see what I mean. Now, it's VERY hard to tell in certain lights. Maybe she's just more of a traditional b&r and the boys are very dark, like blankets, almost melanistic b&t's? Hmmm.

that dog posted by the OP has really light eyes, I think I'd like him better if his eyes were a bit darker. Jenni that pup is darling!

Thanks! I think so too, but I may be biased.
She's got a great personality.

Jenni let us know how she turns out!

by Jenni78 on 09 December 2013 - 21:12
I will. I think she might be going to live with her uncle in Florida. ;-) If she does, I know we'll get good photo updates. Of course, that's only if her temperament stays consistent. She's not even 4 weeks old.
