Dog looks great, but I have a hard time differentiating a well trained dog from a good dog. Is this a dog you feel passes on good working traits?

by bebo on 23 September 2013 - 16:09

the entire T litter was rather outstanding and brought a lot of drive and smarts to the table and offspring with good structure and health in a mid-sized, highly agile, and bidable package. i'd say task, troll, and tom were at or near the very top of the competition schutzhund specimen at the time. given the line breeding on fado, and consequently harro-afra and racker, through natz and norma, you pretty much got a supper-potent advancement of fado, who, in my mind, was one of the top sportdog producers. i don't think these dogs were lacking civil or hardness but certainly crossed well with some of the harder, tougher czech lines as well as nick and yoshy. also, that line did very well with further line breeding, as evidenced by igor and ugo crossing back to task and troll daughters, e.g. condor galan nalag.

So I would say beauty and brains...

Bebo gave an excellent response. High, calm prey and fight drive are what I associate with Troll vh M.

I think Bebo gave excellent summary of performance aspects of Troll, I do think some breeders in Europe have some health concerns, more with Troll than Task. But I could be off base.

I have a 13 year old Troll Son that I have had from 8 weeks old. Axel, I,ve used him in a line breeding on Troll http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=729884-cruise-vom-drachen-haus My Cruise, who s currently working on his titleing for IPO. The litter had 2 boys and 4 girls. There all working well.No health issue,s to speak of the Prey and aggression is nicely balanced but all can become pushy on the handler if you let them.

All the pups have very hard and full grips!

Bob
A fine looking pair of Dogs and a credit to you? Troll Haus was a great dog in his own right, and a G.son of the great Orry as well as Fado
