Does anyone know how the selection process works? How many trials does a dog have to do to qualify? I'm new to IPO but have competed in French Ring. In FR each dog has to do 3 qualifying trials then there is "La Finale". Two awards are merited; the winner of "La Finale" and the winner of "La Coupe". "La Coupe" being the dog with the best average from all qualifying trials + "la Finale". Is there somewhere where we can see the trial averages for the year or for the selection process for the dogs who competed in the Bundessiegerprufung.

As any dog/handler team can have an off day the averages interest me more than the one day event.
