New BH Titles?

August 25, 2013

USCA is looking into offering the new BH2 and BH3 titles being offered by the SV.

General description

BH2 is a BH based on 100 points with the added exercises of flat retrieve and send out

BH3 is the BH with no on lead heeling and added exercises of walking stand, flat retrieve,wall retrieve And send out

Why not just do an obedience title, instead of half assed obedience title......still no gun fire. It's like, let's see how many ways we can turn this picture.

you can already do obedience section of IPO1-3 by itself, I think it would probably make more sense to push folks in that direction, as they do overlap

That's my point, Gusmanda. Just do an obedience title and leave the BH a temperament test, ( which it really isn't, since it's trained for).

I agree with Joan. Not sure it makes sense to get stuck in BH, from a sport standpoint I would assume participants would feel more satisfied hearing "IPO1 obedience" rather than "BH2". But who knows, if there's people doing it I assume some people must like the idea so good for them.

Will you need to get a BH3 to move onto IPO, FH, TR, OB etc? So if its implemented will the BH still be the base to move on?

Do a Bh, move on to OB titles, I don't see the need or market to do this. I don't think it generates interest by outsiders nor offers anything to those already competing. I guess I don't get it?
