My first GSD's ears never completely stood up... and it's been 9 years now since she died and I still miss her every day. Heart

Of course! My boy Jax (first GSD) still has floppy ears and he is now a year old. Love him to death :)

OOOooo, lemme think about that ...
Dogs where I worked for last 12 years:   two with one ear up, one down;
two with ears that waved about in the breeze;  one longcoat cutie who
was structurally almost perfect but both his ears were completely 'soft'.
Personal dogs, show bred, ears up and set properly, marred in Taz's
case by the tip of one ear getting split open in an accident with a crate
door, half a dozen years ago.
Nah, I can't live with a dog with imperfect ears, they gotta go.  LOL

Absolutely if they had the working drive! My first K-9 (my profile picture) from the 80's had a 'soft' ear, was neutered and lived to the grand, dignified age of 12! I never had any complaints about his looks from the bad guys!

Cute picture! :) We have a GSD we got as an adult and her ear tips were apparently bitten off by a horse, or so I was told, though I'm not sure why a dog would allow both ears to be bitten off by a horse, one possibly but both?? Either way, she's adorable! She looks like a bear :) I love her rounded ears, and it doesn't effect her any. :)
