I've never had a coatie in a litter, so I'm not entirely sure what specifically I'm looking for. Sire is a carrier of the LC gene, I've emailed the breeder of my female about possible LC carriers in the dam's side, but until then.... any guesses?? They will be 3 weeks on Thursday. Thanks!

Thank you LadyFrost :) I tend to think so too, but I'm pretty biased as this is the puppy I picked out to keep lol.

A normal coated puppy can have quite a bit of body coat and still be just a plushy normal coat.  I find that longcoats at about four weeks usually have noticeably longer hair on their ears than normal coated pups do.

He he, thank you :) Been spending a good portion of time huffing puppies as my husband says LOL. I'll take some more photos in a few days and see what the masses think :)

It's too early to tell.  It could lose the plushy coat and be normal.  Time will tell and if it is a coat, you'll know in a few more weeks.
