Thought some of you Guys in the USA may be interested to look up the results of one of your stalwarts by the name of Chris Meverden and his Dog Danger von Juliet in the above competition. Seeing as nothing has been mentioned on here i thought it right to highlight the fact that Chris is the sole USA entrant so my best wishes for a good Championship. He deserves to do well.
Anyone wanting to keep check on results can just type in V.V.D.H and open up there page. on the front page you will see the Championship and you can get up todate results 44 Participants from 13 Countries are competing. i will be going to watch it soon after the Live stock has been cared for on Friday and Saturday. Competition proper starts tomorrow and finishes on Sunday

I noticed that Chris is the only name appearing for the US on the event website. But, I thought Kevin and Cheryl Nance were supposed to be there. They are the USCA Universal Sieger and Siegerine, at least their dogs are. :-) Cheryl's bitch is the required bitch entry for a team. You can't miss Kevin, Steve- he's about 6'7".

Thank you for the info. Chris is my instructor and i'm very proud to be working with a guy who is doing so well with his dog. It inspires me, and the rest of his students in Florida.  Hopefully he has a good run friday. His dog Danger is a really nice working dog and is putting on some great performances here lately.
Go USA! Best wishes to his team mates. Hope they pull through and have perfect entries also. Would be nice to see us in the top 3. :D

Chris and Danger are the first dog/handler team to represent the U.S. on both the Universal Sieger and WUSV world teams.  Nice work!

Kevin Nance and his wife Cheryl were both selected but could not make the trip this time

That;s unfortunate.  It was kind of nice to see a married couple with both competing at that level.

Thanks for the head's up, steve1!  And although there is only one dog representing the US this year, there's a US-bred dog on the Canadian team, Karen Sinclair's Griff v TeMar, and on that same team is Raino Flügge's homebred Kofi v Kiebetzende, another North American-bred dog. Best of luck to all, and though the US team lacks an entry for the Universal Siegerin honors, with 18 bitches entered at least there will be competition for the title!  Here's the link to the webpage--and it's in English, French, German and Dutch, which makes it even easier to follow the event!
