So, I'd like to preface this post by saying that I am NOT looking for a dog now, or in the immediate future. However, this question is just to satisfy my curiosity on the topic and to keep in mind for future reference.

After owning a few dogs, I have a few qualities in mind for my future dog(s). I've researched a ton, met a lot of breeders, and talked to people in my club, but, with the copious amounts of breeders out there, I'm sure I'm missing quite a few.

This is my current dog.

This is my previous dog.

My current dog, Mako, has significantly less drive than my previous dog, Lilly. He is a bit more civil (which I like), but overall, less drive. Super social, loves everyone, and settles well in the house. I should mention that he does have great drives, but Lilly was just off the walls, so comparatively speaking, less.
Lilly was just 100% all the time. She had crazy prey-drive, didn't settle down in the house very well, but had absolutely no issues in her protection work. She took the stick, whip, hula hoop, can curtains, etc. with no problem. (I work my dogs for PSA). Unlike Mako, she ignored strangers because she was always looking to work ALL THE TIME.

With that said, I'm looking for my next dog to be a combination of the two. A dog with a civil side that will undoubtedly be a reliable PPD (that's pretty much my first goal for any dog of mine). I think sometimes people often see a dog that (I think) has fear or nerve issues, and will say it's has a "great civil edge", so that's a big issue for me, too.
With that as such an important characteristic, I am interested in a Czech or DDR line, but again, am a newbie in that area.

Ideally, the dog would also have TONS of drive, but know how to settle. The on/off switch is something about my current dog that I love. He can have an intense bitework session, and then go cuddle with the decoy immediately afterwards. But, during the bitework session, I wish he was a bit more intense.

Other than that, solid nerves with no fear issues is important. Health is obviously a huge factor that goes without saying. Gender, color, other factors relative to appearance do not matter much to me.

Thank you all.

Once you've had a Belgian Fruitcake, everything else will seem lacking a little after that.

I have a few related to your girl Lilly and one settles, one is balls to the walls 24/7 and one is the perfect PPD, who is a combination of
those lines and Czech lines :)

Highly suggest Tiekerhook, they have high drives, strong civil side, excellent trackers, yet both mine settle in the home & excellent with the family. They are a lot of dog though

Tiekerhook seems like a good fit. Thank you :)
