Bravo and Aschia are now 2 years and its time for OFA's.

When it was time for Zambi's OFA I was riddled with stress and anxiety. Time was in the essence, and her career was put on the line over the results. I decided to have a private talk with Zambi days before taking her in for her Xrays, and told her that no matter what the outcome would be that she would still be my daughter, and still have a home. No way would I ever return her over because of bad hips or elbows. I couldn't just sell her off like that. It temporary calmed my nerves down until it started acting up when I was anxiously awaiting for the results from the OFA.

Kim,

As a general rule.........I try not to stress about things that are out of my control.......It doesn't do me any good, makes my family miserable and raises my blood pressure.....LOL
Cisco is my first OFFA submission and I'm still awaiting results......
With that being said.....I am anxious to see the results but not worried about them.
I've raised Cisco to the very best of my ability and tried to do everything right for him.......what ever the rating.......they are what they are.

There are several kinds of people:
  1. "Sports"people who need a tool for their sport - in this case a healthy dog ( buying - selling Cry Smile )
  2. Breeders who need healthy breeding stock ( although in my personal opinion there would be no loss if some people wouldn´t breed...)
  3. Police/army who need healthy dogs - makes sense, but they normally buy adult dogs
  4. "Pet owners" doing the sport their beloved dog is able to do, healthy or not
As long as you are none of 1. /2. /3. you shouldn´t worry too much. As long as your dog is your companion first and for most, OFA results don´t matter. It hurts to own a dysplastic dog, but it doesn´t change your dog at all.

Bravo will be going into endurance training and continue his IPO if he checks out. I've spent thousands on my boytoy to date and don't want to spend more if he has bad joints. His 6 month prelims looked very good, so we'll see if he's developed as expected.

Aishcha was a pregnant rescue, and I just want to know.

We know, if they fail, they will go down the road to a NEW home.
Some people don't keep their dog if it can't bring home the bacon...
