******BUYER BEWARE******
I was looking through the database in hopes of finding a young female. A breeder in the south, where I have gotten a couple females from, just purchased a dog from Hardknocks. I wanted to move to a bit tougher lines, so I started looking. I searched and found he had several other dogs for sale. After several days of discussion, I sent a deposit (more than half the money). He was to hold the pup for approx. 1 week while I get some time off approved (so i'd have time with her). I got the time off and sent the balance. She was to be delivered via airplane on April 4th. I paid for the ticket, crate and health certificate (all normal stuff). On March 28, nearly the middle of the night (I'm sleeping) I get a knock at the door. It's a stranger who says she has a dog of mine from John.,,ok, wtf. Sure enough, it's the pup. I get the registration (that's all the paperwork she had) and it had been signed off on.
To date i have no shot record and he hasn't reimbursed the money I gave him to fly her here, et al. and, on top of that, the dog has a wound around her neck (mostly healed now), that I discovered while brushing her. I'm not sure what his 'training tactics' are, but he's definitely doing the wrong thing. He won't return my calls and his hip guarantee is probably a big of a joke as his knowledge about dogs. He had her advertised as DDR and she's 75% WG and 25% Czech. Yes, I knew this when purchasing her and I should have read all the mixed signals, but honestly I'm glad I got her out of there.
He's done virtually nothing with this pup and she's nearly 6 months old. I have 2 pups left from a litter that have better manners than her. Plus, I have to vet her, for the safety of my pets.
Long story short (too late for that now, huh?)
Stay away from this thug. He's probably backed enough deals to give him a semi decent rep, but I'm telling you, this guy is BAD NEWS. I'm sure I'm not the only one he ripped off, I just hope that I'm the last one.
