Mini dachshund, yorky, basically popular breeds that are in demand. One vet here was fostering some confiscated (in a raid) mini doxies, which she gave to her receptionist, who in turn incorporated them into her breeding kennel. The vet even signed the certificates for CKC registration, stating they appeared to be pure breds. So, the little dogs were confiscated from one BYBer, only to be given to another back yard breeder. Now those were some "rescued" dogs! NOT!

kitkat, so sorry to hear about your sister's problem and  her passing.
Not the same thing, but I did have one puppy buyer that took me to court
because he purchased a puppy on limited reg.  The puppy turned out really
nice and he simply wanted full AKC and thought for some reason that taking
me to court would change that.  He lost and had to pay the court costs as well
When i sell puppies before they even come  here to look at the litter.   I ask if they're
just looking for pet quality for family, watch dog b cause it never fails they come
out and want to buy the nicest in the litter.  That's not pet quality and want you to
explain the difference, which I do.  But they still get a confused look on their face.  I also
make sure in my contract  it states that I'll take the puppy back if they no longer can
keep it.  Also not allowed to take puppy to humane society, shelter etc.  For those people
that think it's okay to sell or give away pups that are under 8 wks. old,  YOUR WRONG.
