Has anyone heard of this breeder in North Carolina- they breed only black gsds.

No, but I'd avoid anyone who only breeds one color.

All the females I see are either SchH3 or IPO3. I think their breeding a little close on some but nothing I havent seen before.
All in all I would say impressive considering they have 7 V rated SchH3/IPO3 females in their lineup.
They happen to be black.
Now if they were breeding black dogs with no titles and breed surveys I would say be careful.
In this case your probably safe. Looks very good to me, if you want a black dog.
BTW, Jenni78, the dog in your avatar is beautiful.

I don't know anything about them other than they also advertise as The Meadows....and they have some pretty dogs.

I noticed that they have a litter with Bomber who was recently bought and resides in Mo. and Pia another dog that was with Dennis Rohde and now belongs to them.

I made a typo in my post. I meant to say I would avoid anyone who only breeds FOR color, not "one" color.
I do not know the kennel in question so I can't say whether they breed excellent dogs who HAPPEN to be black or if they are breeding FOR BLACK DOGS. There is a big difference.

'Pia' was bred by and raised by the Stump's at kennel Silbersee
here in the USA, she was then shipped to EU to be titled and koered.
The Stump's then sold her after she returned in whelp.
Puppies from 'The Meadows' seem to be priced a bit high in my opinion,
but, to others they may seem a great bargain.

The math on the Euro conversion if you were buying from same female and Bomber over in Germany would probably be close when all said and done.
800 to 1200 EU for the pup.

I met this dog a few days ago, what an awesome temperament, outstanding!

More like $450EU-$650EU for the pup L4S. 
Puppies from LGA/BSP/WUSV sire & dam will bring a little more,
but your prices are a bit high in our experience.
