Hi all,

I know what are the prerequisites for a dog to be evaluated for a breed survey (certified hips, SchH/HGH title, AD and a minimum of G in a conformation show)....

But I was wondering if there is a prerequisite regarding the dog's pedigree?
Does he have to have a 'pink' pedigree in order to be breed surveyed?

Can a dog coming from untitled parents, or let's say, only one titled parent (SchH3 sire and dam not titled) be breed surveyed?

I've never really asked myself the question as all of the dog's I've ever owned were from 100% breed surveyed stock.

Thanks for your input!

You don't have to have pink papers to breed survey your dog.  The dog must be registered with an FCI recognised registry.  AKC is recognised.

I did breed survey a dog that had a parent that was not titled or breed surveyed.

Your dog must meet all of the requirements of a BH, IPO title, AD, and at least a G rating in a conformation show under SV recognised judges.

I hope this helps.

Best Regards,
Cheryl
