As a newbie on here I thought this was a place to come and learn about the breed. How to better it and have questions answered. The only thing I have found is that the posts with the most replies are usually people complaining about other people. Just an observation and I am sure that there will be some comments on this. Yes me to. Just hang around awhile and you'll learn who the conflicts originate from. Steer clear of the bash postings.

Yes, it seems that way right now. There are times when people have issues with others and some tend to take sides.
It blows over eventually. Concentrate on the positive and use the negative as a learning tool.

I have lurked on this site for years and have been a member for a couple of them. I have found this site to be a bible of information on German Shepherds. I am sorry you are not having the same experience.

i have found that on here as well as many other places in life (internet/and the real world) ppl dont know how 2 be wrong, flexable, or open to new ideas........ Honestly if i wasn't as strong a person as i am, i would have been left, but i wont let a couple ppl deture me from soaking up the wonderful knowledge that this place has to offer...........there r some different ppl in her, and when everyone else is bashing one, these few incredible ppl will take the time out to pm u and offer up the knowledge that they have..............be persistant, and have thick skin, and u can/will learn a LOT. its very hard to be respectful when others are not, but just ignore ignorance and things that r beneath u...............THIS CAN B A GREAT PLACE

The boards are no different than any other boards or forums. There will always be people who hide behind their keyboards and attempt to derail or train wreck any posts they disagree with. I have found that you will quickly be able to identify these poster and just ignore what they say. It is kind of sad, because one day they might want to post something important or intelligent but will be ignored.
The plus side to all of this, is that there are people who are the opposite and will be more than happy to answer questions and provide useful information. Some of the best friendships I have formed are from forums over the years.
