Hi guys, if you can help me out, that would be great.
What does the title ED: NORMAL mean, or ED:NORMAL BIR? Or is it even a title at all? My puppy's sire has it in his name and I'm not sure what it means.
His pedigree is here for reference: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/dog.html?id=586543
Thanks,

This seems a little unusual  elbow ratings should not be in that location and underneath the image it says "elbow rating not known" the same goes for the sires' father, coming from Nero I would explore further to make sure the sire does have an elbow rating.

I may be mistaken but I think the elbow dysplasia is a recent addition to a dogs pedigree on the database? May be a way for showing elbow results before there was an option

Think La Junta may be correct there.

But:  going back to OP's question, what DOES the
additional  "B I R" stand for  pls  ?

ok if I'm reading it right it is supposed to mean best in show? here is a website I found http://www.asintaygermanshepherds.com the dog is Norwegian not sure if bir means best of show in the Norwegian kennel club

Maybe they meant:
Quote "BIS CH - At an all-breed show, the only dog left undefeated at the end of all judging on that day."  Maybe BIS CH means (Best in Show Champion)

OR BIR - Best in ring......

Look at the heading of this topic, Qusetion instead of Question SO perhaps BIR instead of BIS.....since seeing it is a showline dog...
