Yes, but there are a lot more cases like this of good officers helping people in need that never get any media attention. Police collecting toys for tots, taking food to hungry families on Holidays, many acts of kindness and charity that go on everyday. A few bad apples can generate a lot of bad press, while random acts of kindness often get ignored. This case is an exception vecause it did get media attention because the recipient of the gift came forward.
